CAROLINE PINNEY RECEIVED HER BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS WITH AN EMPHASIS IN PAINTING AND PRINTMAKING IN 2016. PINNEY’S WORK TREADS THE LINE BETWEEN GESTURAL AND MORE CONTROLLED METHODS OF PAINTING, OFTEN TRAVERSING THIS DICHOTOMY AND BLURRING THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE TWO. THROUGH HER paintings, SHE SEEKS TO CREATE AN INTIMATE AND PERSONAL SPACE IN WHICH THE VIEWER IS ABLE TO BRING THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE INTO THEIR INTERPRETATIONS OF EACH PIECE.
